Christmas in July

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the waaaaay.

I saw that Jill posted a christmas card challenge on her blog Anjillic Creations - and the challenge is to make a christmas card. You can play along too - just check out the challenge here.

I want to participate because lately I have been thinking about what to do with christmas cards this year. So this card was sort of a kick-starter and making this card made me realize that I definitely need to buy some christmas stamps once I get home from vacation. Because I only have Holiday Wishes from PTI...I am not really quick at making a card, so if I need to make christmas cards I have to start early!

Thanks for posting the challenge Jill - it was fun to play along. Although the true christmas spirit was hard to find without christmas cookies and candles (just dont have any cookies in the house and burning candles in this heat would be crazy!!). But I enjoyed making the card on my balcony in the nice summer weather.

Here is my card:

And here are my supplies:
Pattern paper from My Mind's Eye - LUSH collection, red medium polka dot / stribe paper and from same collection Red Damask Paper.
Ink - from VersaColor Onxy black and Red Satin
Stamps - frame from PTI Fillable frames and PTI sentiment from Holiday wishes

I used cork for the frame, and used a standard cream card.

Volá - Merry Christmas.

Aspiring to Creativity's 1st Glimmer Challenge!

Well I am tempted to start off by writing: Oh time does go fast ...
It seems I have not been able to upload any cards on my blog as I promised to myself in last entry. Anyway :)

I saw that Aspiring to Creativity had a challenge - and I thought: I want to play along before my vacation starts on Wednesday.

It was quite funny to make this card, and it incorporates 6 different colors. I was quite surprised to see that I had all six colors in my supplies ... :)

Here is my card for this challenge:

I apologize for the picture quality - but yesterday my canon camera broke (LOVELY! just 3 days before the vacation.......)

My supplies for this card are:
INK
- Versa color Split Pea, Bark, Sky Blue
- Versamark water mark
- PTI Fresh snow
Cardstock
- PTI Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, Lemon tart and dark chocolate
Pattern paper PTI Bitty dot in color moss green
Stamp PTI Guidelines, Sentiment from PTI Through Trees and some leaves from a cling (not really sure where or who I got that from).
- further I used a single perl and and a standard white card.

Well that is all for now :)
Thank you for looking at my card.

Have a nice summer
