Fall

Today I am sharing a Fall card I have created this week-end.
I used lots of Perfect Pearls powder! The powder doesn't photograph very well - if you haven't got it already I will recommend you to buy some next time you are spending! Its awesome !!

I stamped the leaves in Versamark Watermark and the "leaf-legs"( SORRY what do you call those in English???) in Distress Ink Aged Mahogany - then dusted Perfect Pearls in red and gold. The colors turned out really nice and fall like!

Love to know what you think!

Well here is my card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Kraft, PTI Vintage Cream
Ink: Versamark Watermark, Distress Ink Aged Mahogany

Stamps: PTI Leaf Prints, Sentiment from PTI Damask Design
Other: PTI Fillable Frame die #4, gold embossing powder.

Frosted look

Hi!
I am back again on my deserted blog :)
Today sharing a card for Papertrey Inks MIM challenge #33: Frosted images.

Well - it was a nice technique. Thank you for the inspiration!
On the photo the frosted look is a bit difficult to spot - but you see the small snowflakes are darker than the two other - thats because I didn't apply the frost to those. I kinda liked the dual-color look so stopped with the frosting!

Thanks for looking!

Here is my card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Kraft, PTI Rustic Cream, PTI Ocean Tides
Ink: PTI Smokey Shadow, PTI Fresh Snow
Stamps: Hero Arts Snowflakes

First fall card

Hi! How are you?
The weather has been TERRIBLE today. Woke up at 6 with thunder and lightning right above my house. The entire day has been the same - rain, thunder, lightning and then more rain.

Used my evening to make the first fall card of the season ... while watching the "Nation-Collection" to Africa. Can you believe we (Denmark) collected 10,118,700.14 USD in only two hours? It's amazing! The collection is still running on TV. Tomorrow I will tell you how much we collected in total. Did you give any donation to Africa? I did - it is something everyone should do if they can spare some cash. A little amount can make a difference.

Anyway - about the card: I was very happy with it - especially the back-ground,  until I stamped the sentiment too close to the edge of the card. Will love to know what you think about it!

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Terracotta Tile, PTI Kraft
Ink: Encore Ultimate Metallic Gold, VersaColor 93 Copper, Versamark watermark, PTI Terracotta Tile, Distress Ink aged Mahogany
Stamps: PTI Leaf Prints, PTI Botanical Silhouettes, PTI Fillable Frames #4

Celebrate

Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card which I made for a lady who turn 60 next month.

I made a frame on the cardbase before stamping the background - I like the effect of that white frame.
Against the will of my bodyfriend I added the celebrate banner - now that I did it I sort of regret it. I just felt like the sentiment should be on the front. What do you think?

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI rustic cream
Ink: PTI Smokey Shadow, Distress Ink Dusty Concord,Versamark waterstamp

This is my contribution to PTI's MIM #14 - selective inking.
My selective inking is on Fillable frame #4 where I have avoided to ink the dots inside the solid frame. I have used Perfect Perls in white to make the frame - it is kind of invisible on the photo - but it is there :)

Can't wait to see what you made for MIM #14!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI rustic cream, PTI Kraft
Ink: PTI Hawaiian Shores, PTI Plum Pudding, VersaColor 17 violet, Versamark Waterstamp (for the flowers with Perfect Perls),

Sketch Challenge - A Passion for Papertrey

Hi there!

Today I am sharing a card which I made for the Sketch Challenge over at A Passion for Papertrey.
Feels good to be back in paper crafting - very calming after a very busy day at work!

A Passion for Papertrey have a sketch challenge - you can play a long too, go check it out here :)
The sketch I am using is this one:
and my card ended up like this:

Maybe it needs something more ... but I forced myself to stop putting more stuff on the card.
Usually my boyfriend tells me I put too much "stuff" on a card - what do you like: lots of stuff or less stuff?

This card was kind of simple to make - because I had a lot of paper scraps, and I wanted to use them. I used Perfect Perls "Forever red" for the flowers, I like that powder thingy - makes the flowers a bit more shiny than ordinary ink - unfortunately you cannot see that on the photo.

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI rustic cream, PTI melon berry, PTI Spring moss
Ink:Versamark Waterstamp (for the flowers with Perfect Perls), Versa Color 69 Bamboo (LOVE THIS COLOR!!!) and Versafine Onyx Black
Stamp: PTI Turning a new leaf, PTI Boxes, Bags & Tags (Flower) and PTI Sentiment from Everyday Button Bits

I'm BACK! Happy Mother's day!

Wow - time flies so fast!! I can't believe it is May 8 already - it feels like spring passed by without even saying hello to me.

I haven't had time to create anything in paper for such a long time and I lost my mojo as well, which makes it double so hard to create anything when time is little.

Anyway - now I am back (HURRAAH) and my desk is full of crafting papers and tags. I always make tags as the first thing after having had a period of no crafting because it makes it possible to get back into the habit and trying something new without making a big effort. Do you know what I mean?

Today is Mother's day and to get started on the card making I decided to make it easy and took inspiration from a card I have seen on the Hero Arts gallery (look here). Once I had colored the flowers I thought they looked so sweet so I skipped the cutting part of making an extra layer.

So with these two cards I am back on the blog!
Let me know what you think about the cards :) And have a wonderful day!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI rustic cream, PTI melon berry
Ink: Distress Ink Old Paper, crushed olive, spun sugar, fired brick and Versafine Onyx Black
Other: clear embossing powder

KORTMESTER Udfordring #3

Hi!
Today I am updating my blog with my third contribution to the Danish challenge "KORTMESTER".
The challenge this week required usage of:
- something round
- something black
- something crumpled
- some glitter
- at least 3 layers.

When I read that the card needed to have something crumpled I immediately knew I wanted to make a card using the Faux Silk technique. I tried putting some stickles on the outside of the silk paper, was not sure if it would be a good result, but I think it worked out well. So I ended up with this card:

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Sweet Blish, PTI Vintage Cream
Stamps: PTI Life
Ink: VersaFine Onxy Black, VersaColor Bamboo 69, VersaColor AshRose 152, VersaColor 154 Bark, PTI Chai
Other: PTI Vintage Cream buttons, Stickles.

KORTMESTER Udfordring #2

This is my second contribution to the Danish card challenge "Kortmester 2011".
Using this card as inspiration the challenge is to create a card using yellow and a bow!
I was stuck on the squares (die cutting square after square!!) until I got the idea as using the squares as a window. I have the PTI stamp set Through Trees and I never really use it - so here was a great opportunity.

I created the "Sky-Scenery" using Distress ink - my sun is yellow and orange and the bow is there!
So that ended up being my contribution - and I had fun making it - I will play more with the stamp set. It was really fun to use!

Let me know what you think of the card! Thanks for looking!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI Spring moss, PTI White
Ink: Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Sand, Distress Ink Old Paper, Aged Mahogany, Crushed Olive, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed
Stamp: PTI Damask Design, Through Trees + leafs from Out on a limb
Other: Soft-Olive ribbon

KORTMESTER Udfordring #1

Today I am sharing a card I made for a Danish challenge at a forum called "Scrapsisters".
It is a challenge running over the next 4 weeks, and I have chosen the challenge where the card should use minimum 2 stamps and should incorporate coloring / drawing. Since I haven't ventured into Copics yet I just decided to color my butterflies by hand using normal ink. The butterflies have several layers of Clear embossing powder - a tip I got from Kara (KandRdesigns).

Here is my card:

Supplies:
Cardstock:  PTI Rustic Cream, PTI Hibiscus Burst
Ink: PTI Scarlet Red, PTI Hibiscus Burst, VersaColor 69 Bamboo, 131 Narcissus
Stamps: PTI Turning a new leaf, PTI Boxes, Bags & Tags (flowers), PTI Butterfly Dreams, PTI Damask Design (sentiment), PTI fillable frame #4
Other: PTI Butterfly die, perls

Make it Monday!

Ta daaaaa - here is my submission for PTI's Make It Monday challenges.

Well - who would have thought making a card with a sentiment strip in Vellum would be sooooo darn hard to make??? I think I cut up half a sheet of Vellum to produce this card. And I am not too happy with the result and the picture is bad (the glitter on the butterflies is really sweet if you see it in daylight) - but I have to submit it, because I am leaving for the UK this afternoon, and wont be back until monday late evening.

Tell me what you think about it?!

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI sweet blush and white + Vellum (no-name)
Ink: Distress Ink Spun Sugar, Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: PTI Life + Sentiment from Round and Round, Background stamp from Hero Arts Antique Writings
Other: Martha Stewart Punch + Greyish perls

PTI January 2011 Blog Hop

Hi! This post is for PTI's January 2011 Blog Hop - and it is the first time for me to participate.

The challenge is:
This month's blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!  Go through your stash and see what little used treasure it might hold.

I am sharing 3 note pads I made using my brand new PTI Life stamp set. I got it for Christmas - and since I don't own so many PTI Stamp sets none collects dust so far :)

These note pads are my first work with the Life set. Can't wait to use it more! :)
Sorry for the photo - it is dark out side :) No daylight to help my photographer skills on the way.

Thanks for looking!!!

2 challenges in 1

Today I am sharing a card which "qualifies" for 2 challenges: Skipping Stones Design Sketch #SSD59 and "Out of your comfort zone" over at A Passion from Papertrey.

Using sketches is very new for me, and my mind is not very creative when it is looking back and forth from the sketch to my blank cardstock. However I am still determined to learn using these sketches!! So using a sketch definitely brings me out of my comfort zone and further I have made a card using soft colors which I never do. However maybe I should do it more, I like how the colors turned out on the card.
So first. Here is the sketch from Skipping Stones:

And here is my card:

I stamped the background using leaves from PTI Turning a New Leaf and flower from PTI Boxes, Bags & Tags. I used PTI Tea dye duo on the edges to take off the sharpness of the white cardstock. On the Sweet Blush cardstock I used Hero Arts background stamp called Antique writings - and again used tea dye duo on the edges. For the focal images I used white cardstock, stamped Hero Arts Peacock in clear Versamark, embossed it with white embossing powder and to make the peacock colorful I sponged on a ton of different Distress colors and wiped off the embossed area. Quite fun - you should try it!

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI white, sweet blush, spring moss
Ink: Versacolor bamboo and ash rose, Versafine onyx black, Distress Ink old paper, Wild Honey, Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord, Barn door, tumbled glass
Stamps: Background uses leaves and flower from two different PTI sets: Turning a new leaf + Boxes, Bags & Tags, and PTI sentiment from set: Fillable Frame #4
Hero Arts Antique Writings and Hero Arts Peacock
Other: White embossing powder, Perls, and small flowers

Passion for Papertrey - Background stamps

Happy Hello!

What a lovely sunday! The sun was out and melted a little bit of snow - very spring-like if you don't look at the calender!

For a while I have been visiting A Passion for Papertrey's blog - and I have been meaning to play along with them. Haven't had time though - and today I realized that the deadline for the current challenge (using background stamps) was just up over. But friday I made 3 birthday cards which fitted more or less to their theme as they are using PTI's Dot Spot background stamp - so I am using these cards to play along.

And because I trimmed my white card stock wrong (which is typical for me) I also have small tags which can go with the card.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI raspberry fizz + sweet blush + white
Stamps: PTI Dot Spot, Sentiment from Hero Arts
Ink: Kaleidacolor Berry blaze, Versafine Onyx black

Skipping Stones Design's card sketch SSD #58

Hiya!

Today I share with you my very first sketch card challenge.
I am determined to work more on these card sketches to improve my skills ... but I must say ... very difficult for me to think outside the box when I constantly look at the sketch.

I decided to play along with Skipping Stones Design's card sketch "SSD #58"

This is the sketch:
And this is my card:

I distressed the papers for a more rough look. Not too sure what I think of the card myself - what do you think?

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI white + Terracotta Tile + Smokey Shadow
Pattern Paper: Avignon Paper: Annonce
Stamps: PTI Damask Design, Text Style
Ink: PTI Terracotta Tile + Smokey Shadow + Tea dye duo
Ribbon: PTI Terracotta Tile Saddle Stitch Ribbon
Other: Nestabilities circle, gem perls

Happy New Year - I am back

Happy New Year!!

It has been awhile since my last post - but I have been really busy with work, so I forgive myself for having neglected my blog, but for 2011 I have set a stamping goal which is to participate in minimum two challenges / blog hops per month - this way I will be "forced" to blog more frequently.

Today I am sharing a card I made yesterday while my dear boyfriend was laying in bed feeling ill. It's a birthday card - perhaps I should have made a "Hope you feel better soon" card?

With this card I wanted to combine different background stamps and I ended up using 3 types - combining different background stamps doesn't come easy to me - so I used this Dawn McVey's post as my inspiration. I started off my looking/reading her post - then I went to my craft room and created my own version.

I would love to hear what you think of the card!
