Christmas in July

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the waaaaay.

I saw that Jill posted a christmas card challenge on her blog Anjillic Creations - and the challenge is to make a christmas card. You can play along too - just check out the challenge here.

I want to participate because lately I have been thinking about what to do with christmas cards this year. So this card was sort of a kick-starter and making this card made me realize that I definitely need to buy some christmas stamps once I get home from vacation. Because I only have Holiday Wishes from PTI...I am not really quick at making a card, so if I need to make christmas cards I have to start early!

Thanks for posting the challenge Jill - it was fun to play along. Although the true christmas spirit was hard to find without christmas cookies and candles (just dont have any cookies in the house and burning candles in this heat would be crazy!!). But I enjoyed making the card on my balcony in the nice summer weather.

Here is my card:

And here are my supplies:
Pattern paper from My Mind's Eye - LUSH collection, red medium polka dot / stribe paper and from same collection Red Damask Paper.
Ink - from VersaColor Onxy black and Red Satin
Stamps - frame from PTI Fillable frames and PTI sentiment from Holiday wishes

I used cork for the frame, and used a standard cream card.

Volá - Merry Christmas.

  1. Camilla, thank you so much for being my first challenge entry! I'm so happy you chose to play along! And what a great card you made--I love the background divided in threes, the lace, AND that you used cork for the sentiment! It's both elegant and modern!

  2. This is a great Christmas card; hard to go wrong with My Mind's Eye or PTI. Think it would be perfect for mass producing too!!!
